[Hearing about his arrest and that woman's murder, Elisabeth is filled with equal parts guilt and relief. For she knows that Mercy would have been her a couple days ago if she'd resisted. But perhaps if she had spoken up, the woman may not have been killed. She's also glad he was caught. She's glad that she may never have to see him again.

The things she's done to keep her reputation. The things she feels she has to do. Regardless, she feels the need to send her condolences. Because she means it, after all.

My condolences for the loss of Miss Parker. I imagine she was well liked and no doubt a pleasant woman.
