I just brought Poison Ivy down to Level Zero after she kidnapped, tortured and murdered Edward Blake, who's recovering in the infirmary. Steve knows what happened. [And you won't be getting any details on it, because it was pretty horrific and Dick really wants to just go sit in the shower for like, an hour.]
As long as T'Pol's in a coma, I'll be taking responsibility for Ivy from here on out, so if anyone has any questions about what happened or has an issue with her, I'd appreciate you directing them to me. She'll be down in Zero for the full week.
Again, I just want to stress with people that even with her abilities weakened, she's still extremely dangerous, and her pheromones still pack a punch. Use caution when approaching her, and don't let her have access to any toxic plants.
[Private to the Admiral]
I need a plant light, please.
[Private to Sara, about two hours later]
I don't know about you, but I could really use a break from being here right now, and I'm bringing a bottle of wine and a picnic blanket up to the CES, if you want to join me.

And, really, he's seen what the Witchblade's capable of, so maybe he did.]
I'm sorry. [It's genuine, sympathetic, although a thought does occur at the second part of what she said.] But, uh, in the interest of being honest about this kind of thing, I was kinda raised by a billionaire.

Well, shoot, we're already here. I don't know, after seven years I think I might be ready to make an exception.

But his expression sobers a little. He's maybe starting to feel the alcohol, but that doesn't mean he can't focus on things.] What happened to him?

[She takes a longer, fortifying sip from her glass, draining it.]
Well, after our date went sour he threw himself from his penthouse. I thought they'd hose him off the asphalt and that'd be it, but...his body was never found, and a while later, he resurfaced. Put his fortune back together. 'Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated, ha ha ha', all that bullshit. Since then...it's not like I've got anything on him that'd stand up in court, so we've just been kinda....circling each other from a distance. He hasn't lost interest, he wants me to know he's there, but it's been a long time since he's actually tried anything.
[And every time she tries looking into her family history he's there, looming out of the background, but that's so much more than she wants to seriously think about right now.]

Sorry. This got kind of heavy.

[She leans into him, comfortably fitting the side of her body alongside his.]
...that, or maybe 'what the everliving Hell just happened'.

I feel like you've probably got a leg up on me as far as crazy, legitimately supernatural stuff goes. Although I guess that makes the 'what the everliving Hell just happened' moments stand out a little more.

I guess we can never complain about it being boring.
Spam
We could. But we shouldn't. [She looks at him carefully, the sort of look she used to give people before asking them to recite the alphabet, back when she was in uniform.] How're you feeling there?
Spam
Maybe a little tipsy. Are you going to make me try to walk in a straight line while reciting the alphabet or something? Because I promise I wasn't planning on driving anywhere tonight.

He's quiet for a moment before looking at her seriously.] Thanks. For this, I mean, I really... needed to do something normal, after what happened.

It wasn't really a trial on my part, Dick. But you're welcome.
[Hard to tell what level of affection is appropriate in the wake of what he's been through, so she plays it reasonably safe and leans over to kiss his cheek.]

Or a lot of the time.]

Still, even when she pulls away she doesn't go far, their foreheads still close to touching. She smiles.]
...that was nice.

I guess it's nice to know we're not that out of practice.
