So, Wally's been asleep for the last four...ish days. This isn't totally out of the question for him? But I'm starting to get a little concerned this is one of those comas everyone loves complaining about versus him just running out of steam for a few days. I've been monitoring his vitals and stuff, so, I don't think it's anything serious, but if someone could come in and check on him anyway, that would be great.

He was here before, last year.

I don't remember. Couple months, maybe.

Out of curiosity, he say anything about when he was from last time he was here?

I didn't really know him, guy. I don't remember.

It's okay. He's actually from a while behind me this time, but in Tim's timeline? Apparently he's really lost it. Like, more so then usual.

You know, I don't really get the whole timeline thing. I died, no one I know has been here, my boys are all dead or alone-- or both.

I don't really either. I mean, Jason didn't die a year ago, but he's here and says it's because he died. And it wasn't like he was anywhere near redeemed last I'd heard of him, so... what the hell is he doing here?

Same as the rest of us inmates.

But do you have people from your future saying you're not dead or redeemed back where they're from?

Told you, guy, there hasn't been anyone I knew here. You'd have to ask someone who's been here longer or paid more attention. Maybe Rex or someone.

That's the point. I don't really understand what Jason's doing here if he's not dead.

I don't know a lot about the Barge, but I have an idea, sir. I think that people here are in different universes to some extent. The things they do affect their own worlds. Otherwise, if you believe in time travel, I guess he might have graduated and the Admiral sent him back with his life again to move on.

Not a bad theory.

I'm a lot more used to it then "sir."

This is exactly why I don't want to meet your dad. I know you're young, but you're supposed to be my warden. That means acting like you know what the fuck's going on even if you don't. To me, that means being okay with the 'yes sir's.

But that's fine. You want me to call you 'kid' instead, I'll call you kid.

Okay, you want to know why I don't like being called sir? I'm tired of this bullshit about me needing to give you orders to be the ideal warden. Maybe we're not really equals, but I'm not your boss and I'm not your superior officer.

I don't want you to meet Bruce because I'm expecting him to do my job or hold my hand while I'm here or whatever. I've been more or less on my own and in charge of my life since he kicked me out when I was seventeen, and sure, we get along well now and what happened happened a long time ago, but just because I've got a decent relationship with my adoptive father doesn't mean I need him to function or go crying to him with every problem that comes by way. [As an afterthought, with maybe some more humor then the rest of the explanation so far:] Actually, to be perfectly serious, it's usually the other way around. Maybe minus the crying.

I told you why I thought this would be a good idea because I know Bruce and I think know you well enough to know this could be a disaster waiting to happen.

I told you I don't want to fucking meet him and you're still telling me I should. So what the hell do we do? Either you're ordering me or you're letting this turn into a disaster, as you put it.

Why does it have to be either or? I told you why I thought it would be a good idea and that my vote is going for getting it over with, but why don't you make an educated decision about it? If you don't want to meet him, fine, but he wants to meet you, and I promise you now, he's not going to just send you a message and say hi let's get coffee and talk about the weather.

You don't have to do everything I ask you to. I mean, I appreciate it when you do listen to me, but if you really think I'm being completely unreasonable about something, you don't have to, unless it's something like murdering someone or getting a fix. Then I'd like you to listen to me, but even then, it's not like I can force you to.

Because I don't know him. I don't know much about him either. You tell me he's some vigilante nut who's going to tail me if I don't meet him like that's some incentive? How about you tell him I'll meet him on my own terms and, if he tails me before then, I'll either put a bullet in his head or request a new warden. How's that? That 'educated' enough for you?
