There's nothing more frustrating then having some nagging idea - or a problem or whatever - that you just can't figure out the solution to. And I'm not saying this as a cry for help about the stuff I'm stuck on or anything, or making some comment about life on the good ship Barge right now, and it could easily just be that I haven't gotten more then like, three hours sleep a night in a good week at this point, but there are things I just kind of can't seem to let go of, and I'm starting to feel a little worn out.

So basically, if anyone's got any fun new suggestions for dealing with insomnia while stuck in a pretty contained environment, I'd be happy to hear them.

How did you fare through that mess? The kid-mess, I mean. I know you weren't one of the techno-zombies.

I guess it wasn't so bad. The Admiral didn't exactly pick a good time to pull me from, but at least I had people looking out for me.

[grin] Mouse was looking after me a lot of the time--I told you he was as smart as most people. And Rhade. He's... pretty good with kids.

Does he have any back home?

I'm not sure--I don't know him very well. I think he might. And he said something about kids being really important to his people.

Yeah, he told me family's really important back home for him, back when everyone was spilling their guts all over the network.

[laugh] Yeah, there are reasons I avoid the network on days like that. I don't think everyone needs to hear the true confessions of Molly Carpenter.
