041 [audio, sort of backdated to yesterday]

Eddie Brock's in Zero after taking hostages, smashing up the greenhouse and not exactly going down quietly when asked politely. I'm not actually sure who most of the hostages were, but I'll probably remember once this flood or whatever it is is over.

If you want details on what happened and how he's being punished, just message me here, but I'm going to be passing out in the infirmary for a while, so replies might take a couple hours.

[Getting back to normal after floods like this was always sort of a pain. It was weird to one day not be yourself or to be a different version of yourself and then suddenly waking up and being the right age with the right memories. But Dick was at least happy that he hadn't managed to get himself killed and was being allowed to leave the infirmary.

... Unlike someone else in here, who looked pretty miserable and Dick immediately headed over to Cissie's bed side, brow furrowed in concern.]

[ooc: Replies from Dick will be from after the flood's over because he is seriously passing out for a few hours, and if anyone wants to spam him in the infirmary, that can certainly be arranged.

ALSO his personality altering thing is being less guilt ridden/Bruce issues and stuff, so he's basically just more noticeably self confident and stuff.]

He took hostages - Drake, Jane, Mary Poppins, Andrew Wells, Rayne - and Spike and I took him down. No big deal.

I think Nygma's taking care of the punishment now that he's not totally Riddle Me This and everything. Must have been a fun thing to revert back to.

[Sneeeerk.] No big deal, yeah. I think I taunted him while I was affected. Maybe I wasn't the smart one.

[Cissie's only ever been through the Death Toll once before, well over a year ago. She'd forgotten how disorienting it is waking up in the infirmary and trying to remember how she got there, and had definitely forgotten exactly how exhausting it is. ...Though it's possible her exhaustion is as much a result of the way she died as it is the Death Toll.

It's during one of her short periods of wakefulness that Dick approaches, and she manages a wry smile, trying to push herself up into a sitting position.]

Hi. Uh... Aleera happened. It was the flood.

[Dick's experience with people actually death tolling in the infirmary is oddly limited - although maybe not since generally he avoids the place if possible - and he's never gone through it himself, but he still knows what to expect and knows trying to sit up has got to be not fun.

Not that that ever stops anyone anyway.]

Don't get up, it's okay. [And here's a wry smile of his own, because he's kidding, but he's still concerned because death by vampire does not sound like a fun way to go.] Do you need me to beat her up for you?

[Ordinarily she'd push through and sit up anyway, but it's a mark of how extremely worn out she is that she just kind of flops back against the pillows when he says that. She smiles and shakes her head. If it weren't for Adam's influence, she have a much harder time smiling about this (not that she knows this, of course).]

No, it's okay. It was the flood, you know?

Yeah, I know. [Still, that doesn't change the whole YOU GOT KILLED BY A VAMPIRE thing, so Dick is just going to continue to be concerned.]

You need me to get you anything?

[EXCELLENT POINT, that. Which is why Cissie hesitates and gives a sheepish smile.]

Some water, maybe?

[There is nothing sheepish at all about Dick's smile because helping people = awesome, and helping people he likes = more awesome.] Be right back.

[And as promised, he's back with a nice glass of water, which he is handing right over.] So, aside from the obvious, how was your flood?

[She gives him a grateful smile and takes a sip before answering.] It was all right. It didn't change me, at least. How about you?

[He shrugs neutrally, an easy, actually honest smile in place because the stuff that would have bothered him usually about it didn't really bother him at all with Adam's influence.] Could have been worse. I was from maybe a couple days after Bruce fired me, so my shoulder was pretty messed up, but I still helped take out Brock, so it was good, all things considered.
