[Dick sounds pretty unruffled and maybe even flippant to the casual observer, but he's actually pretty creeped. No one enjoys catching a weird person staring at them out of the corner of their eye and then just not being there when you turn to look at them.]

So, I know "the Barge is taking a turn for the creepy" is old news at this point, but... is anyone else starting to feel like someone's following them around? I know it probably just sounds paranoid, but with everything else going on, it just seems... weird. Tim, if it's you, I said I was sorry I stole your sandwich, this is taking it a bit far.

Anyway. Is anyone up for sparring? CES, gym, somewhere else, where ever. [He's bored and feeling like he's getting out of practice.]

Literally forever ago, there was some talking about giving some self defense lessons to wardens who felt like they needed some brushing up or an intro on how to protect themselves in the event of our next Barge wide crisis situation, which is probably happening next week or something if this creepy stuff keeps up, so I'll be in the gym this afternoon and will be happy to walk you through some basic stuff.

Or, if there's anyone who just wants to spar or something, I am definitely on board for that, too.

Since we seem to be getting some of the less morally upstanding people from your world, and because I'm generally curious, I was wondering about what exactly a non witch or wizard can do to protect themselves from spells from your world besides just running like hell.

[And Dick is there a minute or so later, because Bats are habitually late to everything. He's wearing a blue t-shit, jeans, a black leather jacket and sneakers, and some relatively nasty looking bruising around his left eye and cheekbone that's slowly starting to fade.

Hi. [She offers him a friendly smile, willing to more-or-less pick up where they might've left off, even if she can't remember it. She's wearing something a little bit closer to workout clothes than usual, for the self-defense lesson.] So what is this, sort of like a greenhouse?

Not exactly. The greenhouse is that way - [And he gestures in the direction of the greenhouses.] This is a little different.

[He pulls his item - a Batarang - out of his pocket and goes to open the door, pushing it open and stepping inside, holding the door open for her. Today the CES was a forest, probably from the North American west coast, although Dick didn't recognize where they were, exactly.] It can be pretty much any natural environment. I know some of the people on board who aren't from Earth have gotten places they've found familiar, too.

[She looks around, rather impressed.] Pretty cool. Almost a bit like what I can do in a dream.

It's not quite as malleable, from what I understand. But it's still a nice thing to have.

So what's your favorite spot on the Barge? Is this it?

[He shrugged.] This or my room, I guess. The gym's not bad either, and the deck usually looks pretty nice when it's not all rusty and weird.

But hopefully this is just a temporary thing, right? So the deck will probably go back to normal soon? [She tilts her head at him curiously.]

It usually does. Unless a warden requests a permanent change, the structure usually stays the same. [At least, that was how it had worked with the mirror Barge and when Coyo had tried taking stuff over.] Want to look around a little?

Sure. [She grins a little.] I wonder if there are any nice benches around here...

No benches, I'm afraid. The CES can't reproduce anything man made. It's kind of a bummer, but I guess it stops people from trying to drive cars around on deck.

But trees are perfectly comfortable to sit in.

Who would want to drive a car around this place? That's terrible. [She wanders down a path, and finds a likely-looking tree to scramble up into.]

I don't know. People are weird. [And he is climbing right up that tree and sitting comfortably - or as comfortably as possible - on one of the branches.] You do a lot of climbing in your spare time?

Uh, no, can't say that I do. Why, is it that obvious? [She gives him a self-deprecating smile.] I'm used to bending over a drafting table.

It's not that hard. Although I guess you might want to start with something smaller.
