Is it that plain? I'm trying not to seem as hopelessly lost as I am. Perhaps I should try harder.

The talk... well, a woman named Buffy is attempting to explain something to me. We've yet to achieve perfect clarity. I won't turn down answers if you're offering them.

I am annoyingly perceptive. And I have been here for a year.

This is the Barge. It's basically a prison ship run by a guy called the Admiral, who no one's ever really seen or knows much about. If you didn't agree to be here, you're an inmate and you've been sent here to get a second shot at life. The wardens are people who have chosen to be here and try to walk you through how to get that second chance.

Am I the only one who thinks a man steeped in to much mystery deserves a little mistrust?

Well, at least in that sense. You might find common sense to be a little lacking in some other areas.

Everyone's been so friendly thus far; doesn't anyone know that prison gaurds are supposed to be all brutish and sour?
