[Dick clicks on the communicator and immediately, it's apparent that he's in distress and in a hell of a lot of pain. As it turns out, rattlesnake bites are not things to be messing around with He's panting, and when he speaks, he sounds like he's trying not to be sick.]

David, Riddick and Alex Mercer jumped me in the gym a few hours ago. I'm not sure where they are now, but they were keeping me in Dean's room. David... David bit me.

[He pauses, leaning heavily against the wall, shifting to take the weight off his bad ankle.] I don't think he thought it'd be this bad. He bought me some time to get out.

[He thinks, and he's not really sure how he feels about that sort of, so time for the next thing.]

Tim - [This should have probably be private, but he's lucky to be standing up on his own right now let alone switching filters and thinking totally coherently.] I'm fine, but you need to get him to stop. His back's up against the wall and he's desperate, he wanted- [He swallows thickly.] He wanted to know about the bridge.

... Someone should go check on Capa and Jim.

[And the feed clicks off.]

[Narvin notices that Jim is getting Dick, so he'll stay out of the way of that. But...some preliminary questioning has to be done. It doesn't occur to him to wait until after Dick's had medical attention. Narvin's interpersonal skills are limited.]

Was it a personal attack or were they after something?

[Actually, keeping him occupied while waiting for rescue was probably a good thing, because it gave him something to cling to instead of just curling up on the floor and passing out.

He still sounds pretty shitty, though. :U]

They wanted information about the bridge.

[Dick sounds bad. And the implication of what he's saying sounds even worse.]

Did they get anything?

[Dick just laughs breathily.] Narvin, I've been trained to withstand actual torture without giving anything up. They didn't get anything.

[timesbureaucrat]

Good.

Although this probably means that sooner or later they'll try going after someone else who's familiar with the Bridge. Someone they hope will be weaker.

[A few weeks ago he might have recommended that everyone with information about the Bridge have their memories wiped, or at least suppressed, and let it be publicly known that they did so. But he can't casually mention such things anymore.]

Assuming this is before Kay checked on Capa

It's just me, Jim and Capa now, for people that have been there.

[Capa's the only one he'd really be concerned about, in that he's usually quiet and by himself and doesn't have the same training Dick and Jim have to resist torture.]
