[Dick clicks on the communicator and immediately, it's apparent that he's in distress and in a hell of a lot of pain. As it turns out, rattlesnake bites are not things to be messing around with He's panting, and when he speaks, he sounds like he's trying not to be sick.]

David, Riddick and Alex Mercer jumped me in the gym a few hours ago. I'm not sure where they are now, but they were keeping me in Dean's room. David... David bit me.

[He pauses, leaning heavily against the wall, shifting to take the weight off his bad ankle.] I don't think he thought it'd be this bad. He bought me some time to get out.

[He thinks, and he's not really sure how he feels about that sort of, so time for the next thing.]

Tim - [This should have probably be private, but he's lucky to be standing up on his own right now let alone switching filters and thinking totally coherently.] I'm fine, but you need to get him to stop. His back's up against the wall and he's desperate, he wanted- [He swallows thickly.] He wanted to know about the bridge.

... Someone should go check on Capa and Jim.

[And the feed clicks off.]

[Dick thought about pointing out that Jim wore his all the time, but trying to walk ended up needing most of his attention. He was still trembling with chills, sweating and Jim was doing most of the work at this point, but he was a Bat, and they didn't go down easily.] "Could be better."

[Jim got away with wearing his because his wasn't some body armor extravaganza that made it pretty obvious that Dick was a superhero and he was pretty sure that whole thing was still not talked about freely. Plus, Jim didn't wear a mask, so.]

"Lean on me more, it's fine."

[Who said anything about wearing the mask around, that was just silly.]

"Sorry." [He slumped a little more against him, still trying not to go completely dead weight on him.] "Why did it have to be snakes?"

[They still had Indiana Jones in the future, right?]

[They probably did but Kirk didn't get the reference. It was okay if he went dead weight now, they were like ten feet from the door, and Kirk could drag him that far, he was sure of it.]

"Okay, we're literally almost there. You really aren't going to die now."

"I know." [His speech was starting to slur, and his chin dropped to his chest.] "If radiation poisoning didn't get me, one measly little snake isn't gonna do it."

[He staggered, stopping in his tracks and glancing back over at Jim.] "I'm serious, though, if something happens-" [Don't tell Tim. :|]

"I know, Dick." [Don't tell Tim. Keep Tim away from him as long as possible if that's what happened.] "Six more steps and we're there, alright?"

[He nodded, realized quickly that that was a bad idea, and focused on just trying to keep moving.] "Thanks."

[This was a blanket statement of thanks for dragging me down here and thanks for understanding.]

Jim basically dragged him the rest of the way there, and started shouting for someone, preferably Bones because that guy was solid, but anyone with a medical degree was fine.]
