[Dick has been very much keeping to himself since Gotham port, both on the network and in person. He looks kind of resigned when he clicks on the video feed, but tries to force a believable smile anyway.]

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only person who'd rather not get an update from home.

How come?

'I'm on a penal colony in space, but don't worry about me' isn't the kind of conversation I want to have with most of my friends and what's left of my family, you know?

And...you know how it is. There's a lot more people in my life who I'd rather not have a casual chat with.

I can definitely think of a couple. [Although he maybe wouldn't hate hearing from Slade, but that's complicated and weird and better left to LET'S NOT THINK ABOUT THIS AT ALL.]

There are just a few people from back home I wouldn't mind checking in with, especially after you know. That port.

It really was. And I don't know that I would've held it together if we'd come to a Manhattan that was that much of a goddamn mess. Not that I'm a go-to for teamwork even on a good day, but...

I'm holding out hope that most people won't remember when they go home. As is, I'd still appreciate people using some discretion when the network's freaking out like this, or when we're in port.
