So today's is Tim's birthday, I'm throwing him a surprise party, and you're all invited. Meet at my room after dinner, and don't tell him anything. [Or else.]

I know this isn't really your thing, but it's Tim's birthday and I'm throwing him a party. I'm just inviting a couple people, so it's not a huge get together or anything, so if you want to make an appearance, I'd be happy to see you there.

[At some point while Tim was out of his room, someone - cough - has broken into your room and put red, green, black and yellow streamers everywhere. Everywhere. Enough that it almost looks like someone was trying to host a high school dance or something in your apartment. There are also a couple matching balloons.

Oh also there was a note taped to your door in very nondescript handwriting that said "You forgot something, didn't you?" because it's just not a surprise birthday without leaving vaguely incriminating notes taped to people's doors.]

[ooc: If people are interested in doing a log or something, I can throw it together, or we can just assume a fun time was had by all. Whatever works best for everyone. c:]

[The note is, quite frankly, chilling him a little more than it probably should. Dick might have heard footsteps approaching, but they're stopping short when he sees that note, and everything is stealth mode after that. He moves quietly, checks up and down the hall, and stands to the side of his door before opening it, slowly.

He doesn't ask who's there or say hello or anything like that, he just inches the door open and peeks in - low, almost crouching, before he takes a step inside, peering around the room.

This is definitely not how he left it and - are those streamers?

Tim straightens and reaches for the nearest light switch, flicking it on and staring and Dick what did you do.]

[Yeah, sorry about that Tim, in retrospect maybe it was a bad idea. But Dick is just going to be stepping out from where he was hiding and grinning like a Cheshire cat because lololol hi bro. c:]

[Your jerk. But okay Tim's heart is slowing down to beat at a normal pace again, which is, you know, nice. And he is just staring at Dick for a moment because wait what? What is today? What is this?

And then he's just going to cover his face with his hand.]

Apparently. [Still grinning, Dick walks over and slings an arm around Tim's shoulders, still looking incredibly pleased with himself. Tim, you don't even have an excuse this year, he referenced your birthday was soon a few weeks ago.]

Now, just so we're clear and I don't give you a heart attack twice in one day, there are some people in my room who are putting the finishing touches on a party for you. And I'll clean up after myself in here tomorrow, but first I wanted to give you your present.

[Other things happened! And! Stuff! He is just hiding his face with both hands because fffft. He really has no excuse does he. Tim groans, but there might be a little smile on his face, too, because oh hey. A party. Those are fun.]

I know. But I wanted to. [It's what he does, okay? And he's just going to lead Tim on over to one of the other rooms, where a new, Redwing themed motorcycle is parked. What you're going to do with it on the Barge is anyone's guess, but, well, always be prepared, and obviously you needed a new one since you're not Red Robin anymore.]

[His eyes are legit bugging out of his head okay because akjsdghfk;jk that is a beautiful bike and it is his and he wants to hug it because new name new bike new theme and instead of hugging the bike he is just turning around and hugging Dick.]

This totally makes up for giving me a heart attack.

[Aw, Tim initiated hugs are a rare thing, so Dick is going to be happily reciprocating, hugging him tightly for a moment. He totally gets the wanting your own gear when you change your name thing. :c]

[It's a quick hug, all things considered, because he is eager to go examine it. So, crouching at its side, he looks over his shoulder at Dick, a sly grin on his face.]

Who are you kidding? I'm taking it down the stairs, up the elevator, and back down again.

[Dick just gives him a Look back, although the grin is sort of ruining any mock seriousness he'd been throwing together.]

If I'd known you were going to turn into the next Barge menace, I'd have gotten you a tricycle instead.
