I just brought Poison Ivy down to Level Zero after she kidnapped, tortured and murdered Edward Blake, who's recovering in the infirmary. Steve knows what happened. [And you won't be getting any details on it, because it was pretty horrific and Dick really wants to just go sit in the shower for like, an hour.]
As long as T'Pol's in a coma, I'll be taking responsibility for Ivy from here on out, so if anyone has any questions about what happened or has an issue with her, I'd appreciate you directing them to me. She'll be down in Zero for the full week.
Again, I just want to stress with people that even with her abilities weakened, she's still extremely dangerous, and her pheromones still pack a punch. Use caution when approaching her, and don't let her have access to any toxic plants.
[Private to the Admiral]
I need a plant light, please.
[Private to Sara, about two hours later]
I don't know about you, but I could really use a break from being here right now, and I'm bringing a bottle of wine and a picnic blanket up to the CES, if you want to join me.

Score another one for abnormality.
Spam
I guess so.

So, is this technically our first date or -
[There's a roll of thunder in the distance, and when she looks over Dick's shoulder there's a bank of low black cloud rolling in from the direction of the entrance.]
Oh, come on.
Spam
So he laughs a little, sounding more tired than actually amused.]
Well, I guess this was kind of tempting fate.
Spam
[The rain comes ahead of the clouds so it makes sense that it's near goddamn horizontal. She sighs heavily and starts to get to her feet.]
I'm just going to stop talking.
Spam
Probably a good idea.
[And don't judge him, but he is finishing off the last of the wine in his cup before standing up and picking up the picnic blanket and everything else they'd brought in. This is the kind of rain where it almost doesn't matter how fast you run, you're still going to look like you fell in a swimming pool after thirty seconds, and so while there's some urgency - because getting struck by lightning isn't high on his list of priorities today - he's not immediately sprinting for the door, either.]
Spam
Hey. Any chance of an umbrella, Witchblade?]
No.
[Well, fuck you too, buddy. She actually quite likes this sort of weather, thunder and lightning and all, but generally she prefers watching it from cover than being...in it. Still, it's exhilarating in a safe way she doesn't encounter much these days, and by the time they're out the door she's sort of laughing at how random and goddamn typical that was.]
Oh my God. [She's pushing her hair back and it's soaked through.] So much for getting out of here for a while.
Spam
Once they were back out on deck, Dick pushes his hair back from his forehead and laughs a little, still feeling the little bit of burnt out hollowness that seemed to hang over him almost constantly these days.]
You'd think after being here for as long as I have, I'd realize the Admiral just loves reminding people who's calling the shots here.
Spam
I'd been hoping he had more important things to keep an eye on -- I know. Naive. [She quirks a smile at him.] Want to come back to my cabin, borrow a towel?
[She tries to keep tabs on who lives where and according to her mental map, it's possible a guy just got tortured and killed in his neighbor's room. Maybe not what he wants to go home to?]
Spam
Which... maybe just confirmed what she already expected, because seriously. He'd sort of had enough of the first floor for today.]
You don't mind?

So, back to what you were saying before we were rudely interrupted by the weather, I don't know. First non-coerced date?
Spam
[It only takes a minute or two to get to her cabin, and her apartment still has the 'orderly clutter' feel of a place owned by someone who knows exactly where everything is but doesn't really expect anyone else to have to work it out.]
Make yourself at home. I'll be right back.
[And she disappears off towards her bathroom.]
Spam
He nods, but is mostly just going to try not to drip on anything while you're in the bathroom, Sara, because he's pretty wet. He sets down the folded up picnic blanket, the cups and the wine on the nearest flat surface.]
Re: Spam
Here.
Spam
Thanks. [And, that done, he'll be doing his best to dry off the rest of him.] So, did you fix up the damage from that bodyswap flood?
Spam
[She opens the door into her bedroom; the wall and some of the ceiling behind her bed are a shade of pink that would give Barbie a seizure.]
It glowed in the dark, the first few nights.
Spam
How did you sleep?
Re: Spam
[She shuts the door.]
Should've known better. Loki asked for a cabin he could actually live in, I asked the Admiral for a hotel room and what he wound up with? [She drags a hand over her face.] He's lucky the bed doesn't take quarters.
Spam
I was thinking I should ask him to fix up Ivy's room, but if he's just going to pull a stunt like this, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the next brutal murder someone's telling the rest of you about.
Spam
You might have better luck if you say 'please' the first time around.
Spam damn you
Spam
[She goes to turn the heat on for a while, still a little chill from the rain.]
You want to finish off that wine?
Spam
Yes I do. Or, you know, make an attempt to, anyway. [So he's readjusting the towel and heading over to pour more of it and maybe get settled on the couch.]
Re: Spam
Any more trouble in the next few hours, I'm just going to go out and kick its ass and bundle it in Zero for the night and come right back here. I don't care what it is. We can worry about it in the morning.
