[Dick doesn't really want to talk about the breach. He's been through enough of them already that being a semi trigger happy fed with a taste for justice isn't that weird, even if it's always unsettling to have all the extra memories floating around in your head.
The more pressing matter right now is:]
Has anyone seen Sara since the breach ended?
[Private to Rorschach]
We should talk. [It's a conversation they probably should have had a long time ago, but. Better late than never?]
[ooc: I promise I'm getting to my backtags/new posts I should tag into, I just wanted to put this up before time got too far away from me. <3]

Bizarre. [She glances at him.] Actually fine or 'I don't want you to worry' fine?

[His brow furrowed a little as he really let himself consider that, remembering what Erik's counterpart had been like and realizing that actually seemed weirdly familiar.]
It was actually a lot like what happened to my first inmate, before he got here.

He vanished for a couple days, came back and the Admiral split us up. He got reassigned and vanished for good a while later. It was about a year ago.
Honestly, I like to think the Admiral just realized he'd done everything he could for him and sent him home. He never should have been here in the first place.
Re: Spam
Guess we can add 'shitty choice of Inmates' to 'lousy driving' and 'bad attitude'.

Yeah. [He looked over at her, raising an eyebrow slightly.] So, are we going to talk about why you were half naked on the floor in that... Witchbladeish looking thing?
Spam
Yeah. Yeah, we are. [Deep breath, and a pause, because honestly she still has to shuffle things into a digestible order herself.] Long story short, Xavier agreed to help me try to understand what the hell it is I've gotten myself into with this thing. [She lifts her right hand illustratively.]
He kind of...broke something open in my head. It's hard to explain, but I remember - deep down, I sort of know about the bearers who came before me, now. All the way back to the first one. And even before that, to when it was....born.

Really?

[Another pause, because this next part? She struggles to believe herself.]
There are - in my world, there are two...universal forces, I guess you'd call them. Light and dark - not necessarily good and bad, just light and dark. The Angelus and the Darkness. They were at war since the beginning of everything, but around the time humans were pretty new as a species, they had a truce.
[She turns her wrist over, watching the light play on the metal. The silver makes it look cleaner, sharper.]
This is their offspring. The entity they created to maintain balance between them and stop them tearing the universe apart.
[There's a slight blankness in her tone which says 'I have not yet internalised the full and terrifying implications of how powerful this thing necessarily is'.]

[... Because really, what else do you say to that?]
I mean, I just assumed it was an artifact or some kind of sentient alien species or something, not... that.

[And now she understands what it meant what it told her it wasn't her time to know, because - part of her could really be happy to go back to not being aware of all this. It also puts her threat to make a deal with the Admiral to destroy it into sharp perspective.]
But, I got what I wanted. I mean - now I'm scared for a whole new set of reasons, but at least I don't have to fear the unknown any more.

He nudges her gently.]
You okay?

[She smiles at him, and it's faint but genuine.]
I know it's not the first time I've said this, but I feel like I should tell you thanks for putting up with all my crazy baggage.

Right. I'm gonna try to get up, and if I can stay upright I'm going to brush my teeth and get dressed and then see about...dinner. Lunch? I have no idea what time it is.

Want some company? I think the last time I had something to eat, it was the 1920's.
Re: Spam
Just give me ten minutes, alright?

Isn't it? I can actually sleep in here now. Makes a nice change.
[She brushes her teeth and washes her face efficiently and comes back out into her room to get dressed, tossing her robe over Dick's face in the process like she wants or needs any modesty.]

I'm almost afraid to know what kind of couch he's going to give you to replace your old one.
