So, in lighter news, Rorschach's graduated. I would have made an announcement earlier, but I was a little held up. [Completely freaking out and hallucinating. :V

He continues, trying to be a little teasing, because he's actually super proud of him and doesn't want this to turn into some kind of horrible ASKJFG RICHARD WHY >C thing.]

I'd say everyone should tell him congratulations, but I'm pretty sure that would just embarrass him.

[He's more surprised he's having a civil conversation with him at all, but he's... not really complaining.] No, I haven't. Her room's still here.

I'm aware. [There's no malice. He can't get in and he's worried sick, especially with David Cain around. And then it's probably not a good idea to mention what happened earlier this week with Cain, is it?] You should take a vacation. Go home. [Implied: see your father.]

[He wants to, but.] Tim and Sara are here.

[And after what happened, he's not sure he can just skip off for a few days while they're stuck here.]

[EXTRA LONG PAUSE OF DOOMY DOOM DOOM.

No one should keep a father from his son, especially not that idiot of an Admiral.] Do you want me to take care of them while you're away?

[Hesitant, still. He shouldn't be this open, he shouldn't even be talking to Dick, but he looked into the darker of the two mirrors of himself on board and for the most part, recoiled in horror.]

[Dick chuckles quietly.] I'm not leaving without them, Bruce.

[But he does appreciate it, really, so he doesn't want it to seem like he's brushing him off because he doesn't trust him, so he doesn't leave it at that.]

[Laughter. It's a good sound, he wishes he could hear more of it.] If you need anything else, ask.

[That... may slightly have sounded like an order. Old habits and all that.]

[He'll forgive you this one time.] Thanks, Bruce.

Dick... [this pause is actually pretty short compared to the ones he's made in this conversation.] Congratulations.
