So, it is a common thing for more people to just vanish when we get closer to the end of the month, or am I just trying to see patterns that aren't really there?

[Oh, so that's how it is. Well, you're getting a playful big brother shove back.] All right, well, last one to the top of that tree's a rotten egg.

[And with that SUPER MATURE challenge, Dick is running off to scramble back up that tree.]

What, not even a one, two, three? [Tim is booking it after him, though, leaping onto the tree and hauling himself up as fast as he can. And he might reach for Dick's ankle at one point to try and trip him up.

You shouldn't need a countdown. Be ready for anything. [He's still goofing around and kicks his ankle free - carefully enough so he doesn't accidentally knock Tim off the tree by accident and keeps climbing. HE WAS RAISED IN A CIRCUS he is quite good at this. B|]

[Yeah there is no way Tim is winning BUT HE LEARNED FROM DICK, SO. RIGHT ON HIS HEELS, MAN.] Oh hah hah. Just don't grab a snake or something on accident.

Can it generate animals? [And Dick pulls himself up onto the highest branch that looks like it can still support his weight, perching there comfortably.]

People have come hunting here, so probably. [AND sigh. He wins. Tim hoists himself up to the next branch down, leaning against the trunk.] What can you see?

A lot of trees. [Although with some squinting and trying to knock aside some of the leaves to get a better look, it looks like there could be a river cutting through the jungle at some point in the distance.] Here, go look.

[He jumped down from branch onto one of the lower ones, similarly leaning against the trunk.]

[And Tim scrambled right up, tentatively trying one branch higher.] Did you see that river? ...I think it's a river...

[Dick nods and just... eyes that branch. He's going to be really upset if you fall and kill yourself, Tim.] Wanna go check it out?

[What, he's being careful. And he has a death grip on the trunk. Look, see, now he's inching back down.] Definitely.

[And he is straight up leaping to another tree, grabbing a lower branch and grinning. Clearly it's a race.]

[Clearly. Dick just laughs and follows, jumping onto a higher branch then the one Tim's grabbing on to before already starting to move on to the next tree.

Oh, and because this is pretty much the first time he's been able to do anything even close to regular acrobatics in a while? He might be showing off a little. :|]

[Damn it Dick. Tim can't show up a circus dork. But he can at least keep up, and is jumping for the next tree.] It's almost like being back in Gotham. [Except with less concrete.]

[Dick is like, a fraction of a second away from making a comment about missing Gotham, but stops himself as he hops into the next tree, remembering how... less then great that conversation topic had gone over the last time he brought it up.] Guess now we know what life would have been like if we'd grown up doing the whole Tarzan thing. You think there's a lot of crime among gorilla tribes?

Probably. But I'm afraid of what we would have used for masks.

That's a pretty terrifying thought. Still, a tree fort base sounds pretty cool.

So long as there's no poison ivy.

Does Africa have poison ivy?

...Probably something deadlier.

I think we'll be fine. How far would you say the river is from where we are?

Quarter mile, maybe?

I think we can avoid snakes, African poison ivy - which I don't think exists - and whatever else this place has to throw at us for a quarter mile.

I don't know, that might be more confidence than we can handle.
