I know everyone's already said their pieces about port, but you know? Ones like that really aren't so bad. Aside from the possibility of falling overboard and getting assimilated into the world we're visiting, it's basically just like going to a city you've never been to before. There are places you should avoid, and places that are perfectly safe.

I know we all joke a lot about Gotham being a terrible place to live because it's America's murder capital and Bludhaven wasn't much better, but there are good parts to it too. There are these Cuban meat sandwiches at a place called Ibano's, there's near perfect acoustics at Jonus Theater, I could probably go on forever, and while I'm not really going to recommend it as a vacation spot to anyone soon - because again, murder capital of America - as long as you know what you're doing and are careful about what parts you wander into, you'll probably be okay.

How's everyone handling our week of relative quiet? Anyone up for doing something? Actually having something to do in port kind of spoiled me for a few days.

[Kirk shows up twenty minutes later with his chess set under one arm and Aristotle's leash on the other, though really, Aristotle doesn't a leash. He hasn't wandered far since the whole mess with Cooper.]

[And Dick is immediately opening the door, but will wait until you're both in the room before leaning over to pet Aristotle.] "Hey. How's things?"

[I see how it is. You love the dog more. That's cool.

Jim just shrugs in response to that, because he really doesn't want to talk about what's on his mind. He wants a distraction.] "Just life. You know."

[Would you like a hug too? It can be arranged.] "That I do. Want anything to drink?"

[Maybe later :c] "Sure. That'd be great."

[Definitely before you leave. :c He heads over to the fridge to retrieve a beer for Jim and a soda for himself, handing it over.]

[WE WILL BRO HUG WITH THE BEST OF THEM.

Kirk took his beer with a small smile and set it aside while he set up the chess set.] "You wanna be black or white?"

[INDEED WE SHALL.] "Black." [Like ~~his soul~~ Gotham and everything. c:]
