That's odd. I haven't felt any stronger urge than normal to lie to people. Why does it strike everyone else?

I guess so. Apparently someone's doing research into why and how it happens, but I've been told there hasn't been a lot of progress.

Something you'll have to tell me again once this silliness is over and done with, so that I'll know you're genuine.

But if that is the case, it does not necessarily stand to reason that knowing why will make it any better.

I'm from Gotham City, New Jersey. It's pretty much one of the most crime ridden cities in America.

I cannot say I have heard of America. Or New Jersey.

It makes one wonder on the existence of an Old Jersey, however.

America was originally a bunch of colonies that belonged to a bunch of countries in Europe, which is across the ocean. Jersey is the name of an island in one of those countries - England - and when the English got control of the specific colony from the Dutch, they named it New Jersey.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, since they're nothing alike, but hey.
