[Dick is wandering around the house, which is a nice, normal looking place. He's particularly focusing on the family photos and any other traces of the people who apparently really live here who happen to look... just like him and some other Barge people. Including apparently Wally. And Tim. Who are both the wrong ages.]

I'm still in the "this could be worse" stage, but not gonna lie, this is pretty freaky. I think I'm a cop. And maybe ten years older.

So, guess we should have a sound off? Who else is totally wigging out a little over this?

... And anyone seen Wally? I think he's [Dear god this is so weird.] my kid.

You make it off the Barge? You seem to be a popular guest star in some of these pictures. [Meaning it looks like they're both cops. Which is. Fun.]

[He does, and soon they're pulling into the Wal-Mart parking lot. Dick gets out of the car and looks around, trying to figure out where his wayward best friend/son is hiding.]

He'd better not have wandered off. I think he's got school in like, an hour.

[Ariadne also follows suit, looking for any sign of Wally, but instead spots Jensen pushing carts into the corral. He waves at her, beckoning her over. Oh crap.]

[Ariadne was trying to just have a casual conversation but Jensen was all too aware of Daneel's affections for him. So he was none-too-subtly leaning against the side of the cart corral and toward the architect, who really had nowhere to move. But Wally, oh dear Wally, saved her and she could hardly hide her smile.]

This is my son, Wally.

[Dick had been seconds away from intervening and apologizing for Wally, but as Ariadne decided to roll with it, he quickly forced a smile and caught up with the two of them, shooting a look at Jensen to see what his reaction would be.]

Uh, come on... honey, we should get Wally to school.

[Jensen glanced between Wally, Ariadne, and Dick, before back at Ariadne. She had no idea how to continue and tried to move out of reach of her couterpart's love.]

I'll talk to you later, Jensen. Okay?

[The boy didn't move, instead knitting his eyebrows and glancing away after a last pause.]

We should get you to school, Wally.

[Dick wasn't sure if he wanted to laugh or apologize to the ill fated love of Daneel's life. He settled for putting a hand on the kid's back and trying to lead him away.]

[ Satisfied that his work here is done, Wally follows his 'parents' back to the car. ]

[Ariadne gave one last parting look to Jensen before opening the passenger's side door of the beetle and sliding the chair forward. There was no way she'd make Wally sit in the back, especially since he'd just saved her. So, she climbed into the back seat and waited for the other two, wondering what was going to happen next on the list of unexpected.]

Thanks. He's just as interested in Daneel as she is in him.

[Dick gets back in the front seat and retrieves the backpack he'd found in the house, handing it over to the kid.]

That was pretty impressive, Wally. There's some goldfish or something in there if you want a snack, but you're gonna have to buy lunch, I couldn't find a lunchbox or paper bags.

[Ariadne pulls out her wallet again and tries to remember just how much an American dollar goes for nowadays. Luckily Daneel has some American money, otherwise Wally would have to try to deal with Euros. She produces a five and holds it between the two front seats.]

[Ariadne smiles broadly at that, sitting back in her seat a little bit to try and hide the slight blush that crept up onto her cheeks. She had a reply about him being a cop and the like worked out but she couldn't quite muscle it through her lips. Instead, she simply nodded and gave a quiet,] Sure.

[Then again, this probably happens when you're dealing with two hammed-up superheroes.]
