[Warden Filter]

So, in light of Amanda's most recent network post, and some of the stuff Hoffman said to me while he was in the infirmary, I think it might be a good idea for someone to go through his room and make sure he doesn't have anything dangerous stored in there that we don't know about. There's some really bad blood between these two, and I'm pretty sure no one but the two of them really wants them to just keep killing each other every week.

I'd be happy to look through Hoffman's room myself, but if anyone's got particularly strong feelings about wanting to help, I wouldn't say no to an extra pair of hands.

And speaking of weapons and all that, does anyone actually know how she got her hands on the knife in the first place? I know she's unassigned, but I thought people were trying to keep an eye on that, all things considered.

[Private to Ariadne]

Did you ever find out where she got the knife?

I would say assume, as I know not what they'd find. :D UNLESS you have something in mind.

in that case [SPAM] (and yes, yes they do. :|)

[Donny had been hanging around with his inmate in the kitchens, not thinking ahead as usual when he agreed to show up on Level 7 in five minutes. The guy wasn't one to take the elevator when he could use the stairs, which meant that he had to haul ass in order to get there on time, sweating and panting and looking like a real jerk for showing up about five minutes later than what he promised anyway.

At least the run had given him time to think. He wondered what they might find in the guy's room, considering he was about as crazy as Amanda...maybe even crazier (and she was pretty much looney tunes).]

[SPAM] (I will shake a fist on your behalf.)

[Donny, still panting and sweating from the sudden marathon down some stairs, gave Dick a bit of a salute and nodded his head towards the door.]

Yeah, no problem. I've got experience with Amanda, so if they're anything alike I should be fine. He's probably got just a lot of junk in his room. [Potentially deadly junk.] After you, guy.

[SPAM]

[identity profile] actuallyagolem.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[There was definitely less junk in Hoffman's room, though Donny was still on high-alert as he took his first glance around the place. The sight of the safe was fairly off-putting, as the Admiral had restocked Amanda's supplies even after she had successfully played her second game, so who knows what the guy might let inmates keep.]

Yeah, God knows. [He frowned and started towards the safe, crouching beside it and inspecting it carefully before even the thought of touching it crossed his mind.] Do we know wheah she got the fahkin' knife?

[SPAM] (sweet deal! also, sorry for the late.)

Protection. [Donny snorted loudly.] As far as I can tell, she hasn't got any friends...unless she's talking to some people secret-like.

[He put his ear to the door of the safe, not really used to the kind of safe that had a button instead of a knob, but figuring he could probably still jimmy open the thing without the use of dynamite. He grunted and knocked on the door with his knuckles, then started trying combinations of numbers.]

Anyway, she needs her filters taken away from her if she still has 'em, and maybe some forced quality time with some wardens. She has too much time on her hands. [Not that Donny was biased. Noooo. No way.]

Maybe she promises to just keep her crazy ass away from them? [Donny shuddered a little at the mention of her file. He really didn't want to know. Seeing Clapet's bloody stump of a leg had been enough for him, and he doubted he could hear the rest of her story without being overwhelmed by the urge to beat her up again.]

Yeah, well, I wish whoevah gets her the best of luck. They'll be needing it.

[After a couple more tries, listening to the clicks inside the door of the safe as he randomly punched in buttons (at least some things never changed), Donny managed to pop open the door. He waited a second, anticipating a spring-loaded trap or something terrible like that, then poked his head inside.]

Whole bunch of nothing inside the safe.

[Donny grimaced. Just dandy - the Admiral really liked to present them all with a challenge. His attention drifted to the hammer and stayed there for a long moment or two.] You could use lots of things with a weapon. Takes a lot of will power to beat someone to death with a hammer, but it's been done.

{And on that cheerful note...] I'll just take a quick look around to make sure we didn't miss anything. [He excused himself to stalk about the perimeters, looking under the bed and checking the safe one last time just to be sure he didn't skip anything important.]

[SPAM] ooooh, yeah, that sounds fun. XD

[identity profile] actuallyagolem.livejournal.com 2011-02-18 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[He plodded along here and there, looking vaguely bored until his fingers touched something that made him jump back in surprise. He pulled the weird-thing from its dark, little corner and stared at it for a bit, then held it aloft when Dick asked if he found anything.]

Dunno, does this look interesting or insanely-creepy to you? [A glance at the mask,] I'm going with insanely-creepy.

[SPAM] yeah, it really is. :|

[identity profile] actuallyagolem.livejournal.com 2011-02-19 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
[Donny held the mask out in front of him, as if trying to keep it away from his actual person because it might contaminate him.] That'd be a pretty good guess. I doubt he wears it out on dates.

[He shuddered. Why would he even say that?] You know...I thought having one person on the Barge into this stuff was enough, but two? [He set the mask down on the desk.] What a fuckin' nightmare.

[SPAM]

Here's hoping. [Donny wasn't really joking about it either. He had no sympathy for Amanda or anyone associated with her. If she was focused on this new guy, he figured that there'd be less time for her to make self-righteous speeches to the rest of them.

He didn't look at the sketches. He knew they'd disturb him, because what she did to Clapet still haunted him at night.
] Yeah...I know. [His voice was soft and his eyes were looking towards the door.]

Take the tool box and let's call it a day?

[SPAM]

[Donny figured Dick was going to take care of everything they found. He knew he was just there as an extra set of hands, and he had been perfectly fine with that. Donny had just needed to do something, because the idea of another Amanda-type crazy running around with the contents of their cabin intact was scary as hell.

He acknowledged the gesture with a nod of his head.
] No problem, guy. Any time. [And he meant it, as disturbed as he was poking through this crazy-person's room. Dick was one of the good guys, and he had been happy to help. He made his way towards the door and held it open for Dick, giving a grand wave of his hand and a short bow.]

After you.
