[Dick's voice is still his own, but gravelly. It's more of a glass in throat variety than the Batvoice, really, and in case it wasn't painfully obvious by the creepy stalking he's been doing and breaking into other people's rooms, he's entirely flood affected and has swapped personalities with Rorschach.]

Worked a case, once. Woman stood on ledge of building, holding her baby. Said she didn't want to live in this wicked, wicked world. Didn't want her child growing up in it. Assumed she was going to jump. Tried reassuring her, telling her to come inside, talk this over. Think about it.

Misjudged scenario.

Threw child when other officer grabbed her. Never meant to jump. Wanted to "save" her baby from this wicked, wicked world.

Caught baby, but still didn't feel good about that night. Felt alone in a crowded city. No one to rely on, no cops, no partners. And death was always close in Blüdhaven. [And, story time over, he clicks off the feed.]

So, in unflood related news, for those of you who have been able to go home or off somewhere else on vacation or something, how much of the Barge did you remember while you were there if at all? Out of curiosity.

[Private to Tim]

You up for some tree tag?

[This is secretly code for HOLY CRAP, I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE ABOUT THIS FLOOD. :|]

Sometimes, I really miss being a cop. Every day was a little different, but you still always had a routine and something to do, and even if it was just doing paperwork, you'd never complain about needing something to work on. Especially not in Bludhaven. And I know it probably sounds naive to some of you, but you could really see the impact you were having on the community, there. Once the department started getting on the right track again, people weren't as afraid to go out at night. It wasn't as much of a warzone run by the mob, at least, not like what it used to be. We were really making a difference, for a while.

I'm not sure I could ever go back to it. Starting over again in a new city doesn't really appeal to me, and so much happened between when I started and when I first got here, on the Barge, that I'm just not sure it's an option. But I still miss it.

[Private to Jim]

Thanks for letting me borrow your couch.

[Private to Summer]

So, settling in okay?

[So, Dick's spent the last couple hours of this awesome flood passed out in the infirmary after Bruce Jr. made a deal with Aztec!Eddie. He... kind of collapsed on his way there. Concussions suck.

But, you know what happens to Bats who get sent to the infirmary after getting their asses handed to them? They get bored and try to escape once everything's back to normal. Which is why Dick is currently set up in his room, propped up on his bed with a couple pillows and going to be harassing all of you now that he's conscious enough to do it.

He looks more or less okay, even though he's got a lot of scrapes and bruises that have been for the most part treated. The most prominent is the bandage on his forehead and the pretty colorful bruising on the side of his face where he got whacked with the Maquahuitl, but his hands are also pretty badly bruised after fighting without his gloves for that long. All in all though? He's not really complaining. Better then the alternative, all things considered.

He's also a lot more coherent then he was in Zero, if still kind of tired, so. Small blessings all over the place.]

So, that was tons of fun. [Sarcasm, folks.] What'd I miss while I was out? Anyone else try to take over the Barge?

[He might be internally sulking a little that he blacked out again before he got to try and help out with all the fun stuff.]

[Private to Costigan]

How are you?

[Private to Hayley]

So... where'd you get a taser?

[Private to Chuck]

Was I hallucinating or were you kicking ass and taking names while we were getting the hell out of Zero?

[Private to Tim]

Thanks for making sure I didn't die.

As far as first ports go, I guess I got pretty lucky. Barring the occasional road bump that was actually kind of fun, and Dr. Horrible's right: Christmas here really isn't that bad at all. Sure, the snow storm was kinda a bummer, and I'm definitely going to be avoiding the mistletoe, but hey. It could be a whole lot worse.

And not that I'm complaining, but is it normal to have so many people from back home around here? I didn't really expect to see anyone I knew right off the bat and suddenly it's like a mini high school reunion.

[Private to Spike and Hayley]

So, what do you know about The Flash?

[Private to Steph]

Here's hoping your port ended on a more positive note then mine did.

[Private to Costigan]

So I guess reintroductions are in order.
