[This whole post is backdated to after Slade's arrival post and this fight.]

Just a note for anyone who's missed this memo: people have contacted the Admiral about what happens to people who disappear before. He's said he doesn't control when they vanish any more than we do. I know we don't really have reason to trust his word on stuff like this, but I figured it's something worth hearing.

There have been plenty of tough cases who have graduated and a lot of crappy wardens who have overstayed their welcome, and the Admiral didn't get rid of them. It'd save a lot of time and energy if people could keep that in mind next time anyone starts making accusations that someone got kicked off because the Admiral gave up on them, or thinks they've been doing a lousy job.

[Filtered to the DC Wardens]

Slade's here. He was here before until about a year ago, and he was actually making progress by the time he got booted off the ship. [Sort of. He thinks. Maybe.

It's complicated.]

Try not to piss him off if you don't have to.

[Spam for Dean, after the fight]

[Dick wasn't overly pleased with how this had gone down. Bruce acting like a jackass wasn't anything new or unexpected, in so many ways, and he was an inmate. This sort of behavior was to be expected.

But Dean and Faith were wardens, and it always, always bothered Dick when confrontations between wardens turned into what was basically a playground brawl. They were supposed to be the role models here, and he got that both of them were upset, but calling names and intentionally looking to piss the other off was ridiculous. He might side more with Dean because he was his friend, and he didn't particularly like Faith, but they were both definitely in the wrong here.

He turned to Dean after the other two had left, expression and voice still level and serious rather than angry, and gestured for the other man to show him his injured arm.]

Let me see.

[Warden Filter, backdated to the end of this thread.]

Bruce Wayne has been brought down to Level Zero after trying to attack and kill Poison Ivy. He'll be down there for the full week.

If anyone has any reason to believe anyone else has been threatened or caught his attention for whatever reason, I'd appreciate hearing about it sooner rather than later.

[Warden Filter]

[Dick's gone back and forth on saying something public about this, because while he's still kind of freaking out about this and knows this isn't his Bruce, he still feels weird basically siding with the other wardens/the good of the Barge instead of him. This wasn't exactly the father/son reunion he was expecting. :c] That isn't the Bruce Wayne from our world. If he says anything to anyone that gives you reason to be concerned, I want to know about it immediately.

[This is legitimate, okay, he's already talking about staging an escape attempt. B(]

I need you to tell me everything he told you. [This is an order, not a suggestion. :|]

[He was going to message you both, but he really doesn't know what he wants to say, and there's a pressing issue he needs to deal with right now.]

[Spam for Tim]

[Dick isn't honestly sure how he's processing all of this. He's angry, he's frustrated, he feels like he's running on adrenaline but doesn't have anything to do with it, which means he's been pacing and kind of shaky the entire time he's been talking to Bruce. It's stupid, he knows it's stupid to get this worked up over the Barge throwing something like this at him, and really, with all the different realities out there, he probably should have been anticipating it. But that doesn't make it any easier to deal with, and it doesn't change the fact that he's seen what that kind of psychotic break does to someone like them, and he's never really actually... dealt with the fact that he'd been killed by someone with a pretty similar mindset.

At least this time, the crazy murderous Batman apparently wasn't planning on holding a gun on him any time soon.

Which is actually the more pressing issue he needs to deal with right now, so, message composed and posted, Dick tosses his comm down and head out of his room down the hallway and knocks at Tim's door impatiently.]

It's me.

[Dick's voice is still his own, but gravelly. It's more of a glass in throat variety than the Batvoice, really, and in case it wasn't painfully obvious by the creepy stalking he's been doing and breaking into other people's rooms, he's entirely flood affected and has swapped personalities with Rorschach.]

Worked a case, once. Woman stood on ledge of building, holding her baby. Said she didn't want to live in this wicked, wicked world. Didn't want her child growing up in it. Assumed she was going to jump. Tried reassuring her, telling her to come inside, talk this over. Think about it.

Misjudged scenario.

Threw child when other officer grabbed her. Never meant to jump. Wanted to "save" her baby from this wicked, wicked world.

Caught baby, but still didn't feel good about that night. Felt alone in a crowded city. No one to rely on, no cops, no partners. And death was always close in Blüdhaven. [And, story time over, he clicks off the feed.]

[Dick's keeping his voice as level and normal as possible, which really probably just gives it an edge to anyone familiar enough with him of there's something not quite right going on, but. Oh well.] I'm going to be in the gym for the next hour or so, if anyone's interested in sparring.

[And that said, he's now switching over to filters to properly express his akkldngdskktjadds;kl by being clipped and borderline Batvoiceish because clearly this is the best way to cope with things, right? Right.]

She's not from our world. Her parents intervened when the Waynes were being attacked and died instead of them. If she knows why she's here, she's being evasive about it, which means she's an inmate. I don't know specifically why, yet- [Although he maybe has some ideas. :|] but I guess we'll find out eventually.

Obviously it's up to you about how much you want to tell her about back home, but keep that in mind. She's not the same person.

[Private to Kon]

What do you know about Barbara Gordon? [Maybe she's from your universe. :|]

[Private to Jim]

She's not the Barbara Gordon from my world. [She barely knows who I am and she's totally an inmate what do Jim. :c]

[Private to Shego]

It's been over a year and a half since I've been home for more than a few hours. I can pretty safely say this isn't the welcome back party I expected. [There's some humor there, but he mostly just sounds... tired. Maybe a little in shock. There's a short pause, and there's some quiet, largely unintelligible conversation with someone that sounds like Tim for those with good ears before Dick continues, and his voice is harder, more focused.

This might not be their Gotham, but they sure as hell aren't going to let it burn to the ground, and Dick is stepping up into leader mode. Which means bossy, lecture-y Bat, so sorry about that guys. :c]

I understand that for some of you, this is like stepping onto a set of a movie, but these are not characters from a cheesy kid's cartoon. They're violent, psychopathic murderers. If you see the Joker, or anyone dressed up in clown make up, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Do not try to engage him or any other costumed criminal unless you have no other choice. This isn't me trying to lecture you on laws of reality or common sense, it's advice to keep you safe.

Anyone who's able and willing should support the GCPD in any way they can. I understand first priority is keeping your inmates and yourself safe throughout port, but I'd be appreciative to anyone who's able to help stop this from getting worse. [And here he's warden filtering directions to the GCPD headquarters and Gotham General, with a note about how he's not sure either will be operational, but they're enough of a jumping off point to orient people and he'll provide further information once he gets updates.]

Stick together, and watch each other's backs. If anyone starts getting reports of or runs into anyone who's fallen overboard, keep people informed. Keep track of your inmates.

[Filtered Separately to Steph, Cassie and Superboy]

Tim and I are headed to see how bad the damage is. [Meaning, they're finding the Manor and the Cave and seeing if there's anything they can salvage/any proof that people they care about are still alive. :|] Try to organize anyone who's willing to help to start getting things under control, and make sure someone's helping out anyone who doesn't have combat experience who decided to leave the ship. We'll be able to help in a couple hours at most.

And I know this isn't a major concern on the Barge, but try not to be too open about our identities, especially on public filters. We don't know who could be compromised, and who they could pass the information along to in this world that could endanger our counterparts when things go back to normal. [Assuming they're still alive, anyway. :|]

If we find any information about [what happened to everyone else and if they're alive or not] you'll be the first to know.

[Filtered to Steph and Cassie]

Keep an eye on him. I trust you both to be able to figure out where to start working.

I need to meet with you in person at your earliest convenience. Assuming you came into port.

And a Private to Rorschach and a Spam for Tim to spare your flist. )

[ooc: Dick is slipping pretty heavily into Batman mode, so he probably won't reply to trollish responses, and Tim will probably be chiming in as well. Dick will be out and about in port in the Batsuit pretty much the whole time, and I'll be putting up a log for that later in port for anyone who wants to run into him, and will obviously be tagging around with him! Batman tags will probably be coming from [personal profile] isthenight because omnomnom icons.

FEEL FREE TO ASSUME THIS IS A WHILE AFTER THE ADMIRAL'S ANNOUNCEMENT. I just got impatient and wanted to post. :V]

[Backdated to last night, a while after Dean's post asking for help.]

[When Dick clicks on the audio feed, he sounds a bit different than he usually does. His voice is more serious, clipped, and very slightly deeper than usual, because he's angry and has comfortably slipped into Batmode to handle all this.]

The situation is under control. Mark Hoffman and Buffy Summers are both recovering in the infirmary.

The assailant is named Edward Blake, a.k.a. the Comedian. He's here as an inmate- [Obviously. :V] and after a physical altercation involving myself, Rorschach and Dean Winchester, he's been taken to the infirmary to have his injuries treated, and as soon as he's well enough, is being brought down to Zero. His weapons have been removed, but I'd like to emphasize that he's an extremely dangerous man, even while unarmed. Do not drop your guard with him.

[Filtered away from Blake]

I understand that when things like this happen, people's first response is wanting revenge against the person responsible. I'd like to emphasize to anyone considering trying anything with him that no matter what he did, we're here to help people like him, and their actions will have consequences. I'd like to think we're all mature enough to not turn this into a bigger disaster than it already is.

[And back to Public]

If anyone has any questions, they can direct them at myself, Rorschach or Dean. [And he clicks off the feed.]

[And added the day after:]

[By now, some of the hardness has slipped from his voice again, but he still sounds a little bit more Batmanish than he usually does.] For any new arrivals, I'm Dick. I'm a warden, I used to be a cop, and I offer self defense lessons to anyone who wants them.

[ooc: The take down log is still in progress, so specifics on injuries/how the fight went down will need to wait a bit, but the situation has been under control since last night, so tag away! :D]

People were talking about wanting a report on what actually happened, and I can't give any details about what went down in the CES or when it came to actually finding the Admiral because I wasn't there, but as far as taking the bridge back, this is what I've got:

Not long after people were stuck in the CES and the crew members became hostile, John Connor, Robert Capa, Una Persson, Comrade O'Brien and I decided we needed to get into the interior of the ship to try and get to the bridge. Una was teleported to the CES by Flagg after making an attempt to get to the bridge directly. After that failed, the rest of us went into the ship's interior and after a while - we're not sure how long, time distorted itself while we were down there - O'Brien turned around to try a reset of the ship's defenses. Not long after, Connor, Capa and I made it to the bridge, confronted Flagg and held down the fort until the Admiral was located, at which point, we were teleported out, presumably all back to our cabins.

That's really all that happened for us. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask.

[Filtered to John, Capa, and O'Brien]

We can't tell people anything specific about the interior of the ship, and especially the bridge. No layouts, no schematics, no details, nothing. I'm not suggesting we submit to a mind wipe or anything drastic like that to keep the information safe, but I'm trusting you to understand why this is vital to the further safety and security of the Barge. There are too many people on board who would abuse any details we were able to give them, and I don't think any of us want to do the crawl to the bridge again if we can help it.

[Warden Filter + anyone who's said publicly that they're helping Group 3.]

[You guys aren't getting a video post because too many people knowing what the interior of the Barge looks like doesn't sit well with Dick, but you can probably hear Capa and John being sciencey hackers in the background if you listen really hard. After god knows how long, they've made it to the bridge and are mostly in one piece, although they're pretty battered, exhausted and out of supplies, so they're all pretty ready for this to be over.]

We made it. Flagg's off the bridge, but the systems are a mess. Capa and John are working on it now, but we need the Admiral back. Has anyone found anything yet? [Mumbled:] I'm not even sure how long we've been gone for.

I'd appreciate a sound off on who's alright, too.

[ooc: Everything won't go back to normal until the Admiral is found and reinstalled on the Bridge, so feel free to continue freaking out as usual until that plot wraps up/the mods say everything's back to normal. Anyone who wants to check in with Capa or John specifically can use this post to do it, just remember they're in somewhat close quarters, so your conversation might be overheard.

Anddddd if John and Capa want to spam in, go for it guys. c:]

I just broke up a fight in the inmate showers between Rex, Iago and Hoffman. Rex is saying Hoffman cornered him, and Iago stepped in to protect him. Hoffman's saying Rex threw the first punch- [His tone is pretty clearly saying he's notttt sure this is true.] And I wouldn't be shocked if Rex has a concussion. Maybe Hoffman too.

When I came in, Hoffman was saying to Iago that he was going to rip Rex's head off because he'd called him a rapist.

[Warden Filter, David + Costigan & Inmates who are known causalities.]

Earlier this morning, David Harris went on a rampage, while affected by Death Knight abilities apparently granted by Arthas Menethil. His specific goal was to attack his warden, Jason Bourne, but while affected attacked and injured several others.

His known victims are:
- Slade Wilson - Alive (?), frozen solid.
- Dallas Winston - Killed, assaulted.
- Rex Lewis - Alive, assaulted,
- Zuko - Alive (?), frozen solid.
- Vanessa VanCleef - Alive, assaulted.
- Claire Bennet - Alive, assaulted, was incapacitated by ice.
- Jason Bourne - Alive, assaulted.

Tim Drake and I intervened when we heard a disturbance in the dining hall. David had his warden, Jason Bourne, pinned up against a wall by the throat, and didn't recognize us initially. After talking him down, he gave up the powers himself, without being forced to, and stopped his attack. Tim's taken David down to Zero.

Does anyone actually have status reports on the people he attacked, or more information about people who might have been injured? People who were hurt, a sound off would definitely be appreciated, if you're up to it. If not, I need some help trying to figure out where they are and how much immediate medical attention they'll need.

[Same Filter, but minus David.]

[There's a short pause. When Dick speaks again, it's definitely not in the voice of the usually good natured, friendly twenty something guy he usually presents himself as. It's harder, more intimidating and has serious overtones of Batman in it.]

I just want to make it explicitly clear that anyone who attempts revenge for what happened is going to have me and Tim to deal with. We've had issues in the past with people taking revenge after incidents like this - [The largest one he's got in mind, of course, is Perry's revenge killing of Rex.] - And nothing good's come of it. Don't be stupid.

David was pushed into this. He was desperately lashing out in response to someone he thought was a threat to his safety because of tactics his warden had used against him during his first escape attempt. I'm not saying David is blameless or we need or should to condone what he did or encourage him to do it again. But hurting him further now will do nothing but make things worse. What he needs right now is for people to support him. He needs positive influences, people who won't respond to violence with more senseless violence, and people who actually care about him, instead of viewing this as just a job, or thinking he's not redeemable based on what he's done here.

He will not go unpunished, and I seriously hope that Arthas will face consequences as well, but let that be handled by the appropriate people.

[Private to Bourne]

I'm including you in this. We both know the last time David hurt you, your judgment was clouded and you caused him serious psychological trauma. If you're feeling similarly emotionally compromised? Find someone else to do it. Not you, not Claire. Some other warden.

[And full on Batgrowl. Low, intimidating, controlled, the kind of voice that makes people crap their pants, regardless of their training or background.] And if I hear one word about you doing anything to hurt him further? David flipping out again is going to be the least of your problems.
